November 12, 2019:
Elmo Motion Control, a leading manufacturer of innovative motion control technologies will introduce the upcoming Platinum series, its newest line of servo drives at SPS Germany 2019. The platinum series provides unmatched Servo Performance, extreme power-density and the industry’s most advanced safety functionality. Elmo will introduce The Platinum Twitter, Whistle, and Bell as the natural evolution of its award winning Gold family of servo drives.
The Platinum series was designed to meet the evolving needs of OEM designers for smarter, smaller, faster servo, with higher functionality and ease-of-use. In addition, the Platinum series will feature comprehensive functional-safety (IEC 61508:2010 SIL-3) support, making the drives some of the world’s smallest to feature functional safety. Together with over EtherCAT safety support (FSoE), Platinum drives aim to help machine and robotic manufacturers create better machines through both superior motion-control and utmost safety.
“For more than 30 years, Elmo provides customers with some of the most advanced, powerful and flexible servo drives available in the marketplace,” said Haim Monhait, CEO of Elmo Motion Control. “I am confident that our upcoming line of products will help our clients boost their machine’s performance while meeting the motion and safety objectives of their most demanding applications.”
Among its products on display at SPS, Elmo will showcase at award winning Quartet which was introduced earlier this year. Platinum Quartet is an ultra-small 4-axis motion control system with advanced multi-axis control, integrated 4 x 5kW powerful servo drives, and advanced safety and networking functionality.
The Quartet has recently won the MM modern manufacturing award 2019 for “Innovative product for automation and drive intelligent innovation” and was picked as “Editors’ choice” for the “annual best product in industrial automation and instrumentation” by Control engineering China. A Quartet demo station will be exhibited at Elmo’s booth, demonstrating the products vast capabilities.
